COSMOS

COSMOS  is a 4-week summer academic and residential program for high school scholars with a demonstrated interest in the STEM fields. They receive the unparalleled opportunity to work alongside top researchers and faculty members of the University of California in hands-on, lab-intensive curricula exploring their interests in the STEM Fields, while also enjoying a preview of the college experience.

Students can apply to any one of the four University of California’s COSMOS campuses —Davis, Irvine, San Diego and Santa Cruz. While each campus employs the best practices in STEM education, the curriculum of each program builds on the unique teaching and research expertise of its faculty and host campus. Students can explore their interests in a variety of fields not traditionally taught in high school including robotics, marine biology, biomedical science, bioengineering, nuclear technologies, and more. A complete list of clusters available at each site can be found on the COSMOS websites of each respective campus listed below.
