Kennedy IT Academy tours BART
Kennedy High IT Academy has partnered this year with BART and UC Berkeley’s
Y-Plan to help our seniors with their Senior Defense Project. These
students visited BART recently and were shocked at the many opportunities
there are in the transit industry (especially BART).
The students were given a tour of the very first BART station ever built,
along with touring the Operations Control Center and maintenance yard.
Student’s heard from BART General Manager, Grace Crunican. A career panel
of BART employees from different departments and classifications across the
BART District shared their educational background, career path leading to
BART, and what their current roles and responsibilities are.
