Northgate High Senior Project: Free Coding Workshops at Pleasant Hill Library

Have you ever played a video game and wondered what it would be like to be the one to create that game? Well, you’re in luck! There will be a series of coding workshops at the Pleasant Hill Library on Saturday, March 7th, 14th, and 28th from 10am to noon. These workshops will be on Scratch, Python, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and since they will be project-based, you may
leave once you’re done (or stay if you want to challenge yourself further). Space and computers are limited, so register early to save a spot, or drop in on the day and join if space is available. For more information, visit cccodeday.weebly.com.

Do you have a burning idea that you would really like to turn into an app or a computer program, but you’re not sure where to start? Come to Hack Day during Break on Friday, April 10, from 10am to 5pm at the Pleasant Hill library! No, we’re not hacking any government websites. But, you will have the opportunity to work with friends to create an app, program, or website that addresses major issues that teens face today. There will be free food (yay!), swag (cool!), and awesome prizes (wahoo!), and no experience is necessary! Just bring your ideas, enthusiasm, and a laptop, and we’ll help out with the rest. For more information, visit cccodeday.weebly.com. RSVP by April 1st. Space is limited, sign up soon!
