Mr. Lindsay teaches mathematics and coaches soccer at El Cerrito High School .  Before becoming a teacher, he worked for more than twenty years as a software engineer and manager.  He has programmed professionally in half a dozen languages, across several operating systems, for very large companies and startups.    He currently co-owns and operates YourSportsLeague.com, which is a web-based application serving dozens of sports leagues and thousands of players and volunteers. “Although programming is definitely more lucrative than teaching, I felt drawn to teaching.  I love a challenge, love kids, love math, and love technology, so teaching math at ECHS, and working with the IT Academy is right where I want to be at this stage of my life,”  he says.
