UC Berkeley Society of Women Engineers Mini University

The UC Berkeley Society of Women Engineers invites students, free of charge, to Mini University Spring 2018! This free program consists of a simulated day in the life of a UC Berkeley engineering student which will include lab and campus tours, hands-on activities, and guest speakers scaled to the abilities of high school students. Mini U will be held on Friday, March 23rd from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the UC Berkeley campus. All costs of the program, including lunch, are covered. Transportation to the campus will not be provided.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about STEM, tour a college campus, ask questions at our student panel, and it is a leadership experience students can write about in their college applications as they will be working in teams for some activities.

Mini U is open to students of all genders and we encourage students from first-generation, low-income, and/or minority backgrounds to apply! It would be especially beneficial to 9th, 10th, and 11th graders considering majoring in science, tech, engineering, and math related fields.

Students may attend independently or as a group with their school. We can provide an excuse note if needed.
